A team of youth registered at the center will work in an internship opportunity on a team led by the Director of Community Engagement. Tasks will include:
- Participating in S.T.A.R. fundraising events.
- Maintaining positive relationships with members of the community and other staff at the center.
- Hosting weekly youth-only meetings to discuss community outreach and highs and lows of their community engagement from previous weeks.
- Organizing peer-counseling or pee-tutoring ass needed.
- Providing the CEO with monthly progress updates.

Mentor positions are open to high school students, college students, S.T.A.R. employees and volunteers. Mentorship opportunities are for students with a B or 3.0 average or higher in school.
Tasks include:
- Attending monthly meetings with the CEO to discuss the success of the program and suggest strategies for improvement.
- Attending monthly outings approved by the CEO & CFO that target development of teamwork, academic growth, social-awareness, or social-emotional skills.
- Staying connected with the School Outreach Team and Program Director to support mentees needs.
- Attend weekly meetings with the program director and other mentors.
